The Nike Air Force 1 Hong Kong arrives as a blast from the past for any long time sneakerhead. Most of the younger generation won’t remember this 2001 exclusive which is still considered one of the all time greats. That said, it comes as exciting news that Nike chooses to re-release the colourway as part of their SS18 Collection.
First launched over 16 years ago, the ‘Honk Kong’ AF1 arrived alongside other styles in what was known as the ‘B’ lineup. Most of those colourways instantly sold-out, only to command steep prices across resell platforms.
This pair stays entirely true to the original design. That includes premium tumbled leather across the upper in a deep shade of green. That is matched by hits of burgundy to the laces as well as the inner lining. White detailing circles the Swoosh across the sidewall.
