Nike Air Force 1 Mid Olive Black

Following the release of the Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Mid “Pine Green” a few months ago, Nike goes right back to schedule with general release colourways. The Oregon-based sportswear giant adds new twists to the classic Air Force 1, as seen in this new rendition. Canvas and pebbled leather materials combine to form this Nike Air Force 1 Mid “Olive Black”.

The Nike Air Force 1’s origin dates back to 1982 when it was still a go-to basketball shoe in the NBA. Both High and Low versions became fan-favourite silhouettes, enough to convince Nike to re-release the AF1 after a brief hiatus in 1984. The Nike Air Force 1 Mid has a different story. It first came out in the mid-90s with the Jewel Swoosh version, giving fans more styling options. The AF1 Mid retains the ankle strap but with a lower collar for a less restrictive feeling. Nike Air cushioning remains within the rubber cupsole, as is the AIR branding on the rear.

This colourway features an olive green canvas base with black pebbled leather overlays. The ankle strap has a white embroidered Nike Swoosh, while the heel panel has white Nike Air branding. A white rubber cupsole completes the classic and minimalist rendition of the AF1 Mid.
