Off-White and Nike honour the legacy of the late Virgil Abloh with another posthumous Air Force 1 Mid release. Since his passing in late 2021, the Off-White founder and former Louis Vuitton menswear artistic director remained in the hearts of sneakerheads and fashion enthusiasts as several brands associated with Virgil continue to pay homage to his designs. Adding another Special Projects edition to his already impeccable catalog, this Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Mid “White Varsity Maize” arrives with a more magical energy expected from the Abloh's collaborative series. The vibrant colourway joins the “Pine Green” and “Sheed Black Patent” iterations to drop in 2023. This mid-cut basketball shoe showcases a clean white tone encompassing the vamp and quarter panels with a predominantly yellow hue surrounding the toe, eyestay, foxing, ankle strap, and collar. Signature Off-White details like the zip tie, external lacing system, oversized Swoosh, and co-branding on the medial side stay true to Virgil’s distinct design approach. Embroidered grim reaper motifs adorn the lateral rear panels, while Off-White logos embellish the sockliners. A visible Air unit peeks through the heel midsole, replacing the traditional AIR branding.

While most seem skeptical about the addition of the rubber spikes on the outsole, sneakerheads are claiming to have clocked over 50 miles on the "Pine Green" edition with most of them still in tact.
