Jordan Brand celebrates Mexican Independence Day with this special-edition Air Jordan 5 “El Grito”, a nod to the historic “Cry of Dolores”. The colourway focuses on the pivotal event in the 1800s leading to the independence of Mexico, clad in the country’s signature colours alongside intricate patterns inspired by Mexican culture.

This premium AJ5 flaunts a clean white leather upper with embossed details on the toe, tongue, and rear, honouring Latin American heritage. Perforations on the sidewalls deviate from the typical plastic netting on a regular AJ5, donning a similar setup to the “Pinnacle” editions. Green accents highlight the shark teeth, lace lock, and “Viva” dubrae, whilst dark red hues envelop the inner lining and embroidered Jumpman on the tongue. The sail midsole houses a visible Air unit in the heel for adequate shock absorption. Gum rubber replaces the translucent portions on the forefoot and heel, a formula perfected by the highly coveted Nike SB x Air Jordan 4 “Pine Green”.
