Since Nike celebrated Air Max Day in 2014, the Air Max 1 kept re-releasing in beloved and brand-new styles. The shoe is now 36 years strong, but it’s getting more popular this year. Air Max was a game-changing invention from Nike. If the Air Max 1 failed, the entire Air Max range wouldn’t exist today. The Nike Air Max 1 was inspired by the Centre Pompidou in France, giving it an aesthetically-pleasing construction. This running shoe was the pioneer Air Max model, showcasing the visible Air in the heel surrounded by a polyurethane midsole.

This colourway shows love for the West Coast and features a white canvas base and a cracked leather mudguard. More materials comprise the upper, fur-like materials adorn the tongue and forefoot. Smooth leather makes up the midfoot overlays where a red embroidered feather Swoosh resides on the lateral panels. Pebbled leather comprises the heel panel. The white Swooshes on the medial section come in croc-like textures. Special “The Bay” branding lands on the tongue, while the sockliner consists of California-inspired graphics. The gum rubber outsole completes the unique colourway.
