Part of Tinker Hatfield’s decorated portfolio, the all-new Air Max 90 Double-Stacked boasts an extra layer of cushioning which is twice as big as its older brother. As one of the first two debut versions, this Nike Air Max 90 Double-Stacked “Pale Vanilla” splashes onto the shelves with a laid-back makeover.
Recently featuring in a Nike Seoul video campaign, the AM90 Double-Stacked is worn by members of the world-famous Korean pop group Newjeans as they run down a school corridor. Knowing the band's fan community, you could soon see this version of the AM90 all over the city streets.
The Nike AM90 has been subject to several hybrid iterations and reimagined versions in the past decade. From the rare 90/1 edition to the eco-friendly Air Max 90 Terrascape, the silhouette continues to make its presence known in the modern sneaker scene as the brand bestows new flavours into the mix. This latest rendition implements a chunky PU foam midsole, with a heel TPU column housing two layers of Max cushioning that doubles both height and comfort. Premium suede fabrics form the beige mudguard, preserving one of the most significant design details of the game-changing sneaker. The heel features a ”= Air” label, a reference to the new platform feature. Unlike the sole unit, a fresh gum sole keeps things traditional, just in case there are any OG air max fans about!
