As part of the Ice Pack, the Nike Air Max 90 ICE Red is a great new take on Tinker Hatfield’s classic design. It’s been 26 years since the release of the AM90, and it’s a testament to Hatfield’s design prowess that it’s stood the test of time. Since it’s release, the shoe has been released in hundreds of great colourways and styles. Is this one of the best?
The shoe is crafted from a breathable two-layer mesh which has had a translucent film applied over for protection. A multi-tonal red geometric print is stretched across the upper, giving the pair a awesome, eye-catching look.
The upper has been designed by a CGI illustration of an AM90 in its purest, most geometric form. The ‘Ice’ look extends to the translucent rubber midsole, which reveals both drop-in Phylon cushioning in volt and an iconic Nike Air unit at the heel.
The trainers are finished with volt branding to the heel, a red tongue tab and tonal laces.
