Through the years, Tinker Hatfield's Nike Air Max 90 remained an icon on the streets for its comfort and style. First released in 1990 as a follow-up to the designer's Air Max 1, the AM90 broke the norm of what running shoes looked like at the time, resulting in global popularity that it still experiences today. In terms of colourways, the Nike Air Max 90 University of Arizona Blue White is one of the latest additions to the sportswear giant's roster.
Unlike GR iterations of the Air Max 90, this "University of Arizona" AM90 colourway features more than just simple colour blocking. A closer look at the early images show that these are crafted with supple suede panels, discarding the traditional setup. A light blue shade adorns most of the entire upper, leaving particular segments in white for a balanced contrast like the toe boxes and collars. Additional grey and red accents make their way across smaller components, while Nike's Swoosh logo receives fancy imprints for a distinctive touch. Thematic branding on the tongues and insoles complete the look of this Air Max 90 alongside the Air midsole unit we know and love. Rumour has it that these Air Max 90s are launching as part of Nike's new "Doernbecher Freestyle" collection.
