Nike Air Max Joga Bonito Black University Red

Nike draws on its Joga Bonito campaign for the Air Max Joga Bonito in "Black University Red", an Air Max take on Ronaldo Nazário's Mercurial R9. Synthetic leather builds the black base of the upper, while textile overlays and embroidered branding bring contrasting university red into the mix.

Design cues from football boots shape the upper, while visible Air Max cushioning and a rubber outsole move the look beyond the pitch. A padded collar frames the ankle, and lace closure keeps the fastening familiar. The mostly tonal palette works with denim as easily as it does with trackpants, so styling stays straightforward.
