Introducing the Nike Air Max 96 XX Black. It’s an iconic fan favourite which first hit shelves in 1996. Honouring the shoes 20th anniversary, Nike are releasing a handful of colourways including this black rendition.
Unfortunately for some, this XX special release doesn’t stay completely true to the original, but all new performance upgrades deliver improved comfort. As you’ll see the lower half is different than the original model, adopting the midsole tooling of an Air Max 95. That said, the upper is just as iconic with that winning combination of leather and mesh.
Lightweight, durable and totally eye-catching, the Nike Air Max 96 XX Black was an instant hit in the late 90s. Although it’s taken a long hiatus, the wait was definitely worth it.
Premium black leather overlays cover the white mesh upper, which is complimented to the rear with a stand alone white leather overlay. Other impressive features include that full length visible Air Unit underfoot and an integrated lacing system. Subtle touches of violet offer a splash of colour which also features to the midsole.
The Nike Air Max 96 XX Black is scheduled to release on Friday 19th August via the retailers on the right hand side.
