Nodding to the San Diego Zoo, Kellen James’ Arts-Rec Skateshop gets cracking in its first-ever collaboration with Nike SB. The inaugural project not only pays homage to the wildlife of the City in Motion, but it also celebrates San Diego, California’s rich culture and creativity, facets that defined the West Coast area’s skateboarding scene. Sporting an exotic design approach, the Arts-Rec x Nike SB Air Trainer 1 “Limestone” offers a multi-textured aesthetic clad in various premium materials.
This versatile skate shoe features a bright red nubuck base with a dark burgundy hue on the laces and tumbled leather midfoot overlay. Luxe animal print animates the toe and lower rear, offset by a stealthy black fur-like layer on the lateral forefoot. A soft pink accent envelops the shaggy suede Swoosh on the sides, complementing the SB branding on the tongue and embroidered Nike label on the heel. Arts-rec labels decorate the hook-and-loop strap and the graphic sockliner, celebrating the store’s debut project with the Beaverton sportswear giant. A soft polyurethane midsole absorbs impact at every kickflip, reinforced by a durable outsole and a raised rubber sidewall for traction and stability. This iteration arrives in a sail-coloured box with animal-inspired graphics on the papers.
Set to launch on the 18th of July via the Nike SNKRS app and select UK skate shops, you can find out where to buy the Arts-Rec x Nike SB Air Trainer 1 “Limestone” by keeping it locked to The Sole Supplier!
