Nike Air Trainer 1 We Are Familia

Nike’s first-ever cross training shoe designed by Tinker Hatfield, the Nike Air Trainer 1, joins the brand’s collection that pays homage to Latin American culture. Presenting the Nike Air Trainer 1 We are Familia.

This Air Trainer 1 has a multi-material upper in the neutral Rattan colour, cracked leather on the toe cap and mudguard and smooth leather on the mid-panel, heel panel and collar. The base, cutout heel panel and tongue, on the other hand, are of a mesh material. The toe hook-and-loop Velcro strap is also in the same hue and features debossed Familia branding. This neutral backdrop makes the terry cloth signature profile Swooshes on the lateral sides of the shoe stand out in bright yellow Del Sol.

Colourful embroidered “Somos Familia” text embellish the heel panel while the insoles also feature colourful Familia-themed graphics with a standard Nike Air branding in black on the right shoe and Familia branding on the right. This mismatched aesthetic can also be found on the tongue tabs, the right showing off yellow-on-blue Nike branding and the right one with colourful “We are Familia” branding. A white midsole and a colourful mixed-material outsole featuring “We are Familia” artwork beneath the semi-translucent sections cap off the style of this sneaker.
