Nike Cortez World Make

First seen on the Nike Air Max 1 ‘86, Nike Korea’s exclusive “World Make” rendition makes its way to this finely-crafted Nike Cortez. Following this iconic silhouette’s 50th anniversary in 2022 and collaborations with Union LA, sacai, and CLOT, more general release colourways emerged in 2023. This Nike Cortez “World Make” showcases Nike Korea’s premium craftsmanship with a vachetta tan-inspired leather upper with intricate patterns on the Swoosh.

Nike focuses on giving more modern styles to this ‘70s track shoe as we are yet to see OG colourways like the “Forrest Gump”. One of the latest Cortez colourways is this “World Make” rendition, part of a namesake capsule crafted by Nike Korea. It has a vachetta tan smooth leather construction with ornate patterns displayed on the Swoosh logos. The tongue has debossed Nike branding and black and white stitching that spells out “WM”, an acronym for World Make. Premium cork sockliners feature various designs, with the statement: “Designed for sport. Crafter for life. World Make” on the right shoe. The tan heel midsole and sail white rubber outsole complete this luxurious summer-ready Nike Cortez iteration.
