The Powerpuff Girls x Nike SB Dunk Low Buttercup

Buttercup, the toughest fighter of the Powerpuff Girls, inspires this bold new collaboration between Nike SB and the beloved Cartoon Network series. The Powerpuff Girls x Nike SB Dunk Low “Buttercup” brings the fierce character’s attitude to life in vibrant detail. True to Buttercup’s signature look, dark green and black dominate the sneaker’s colour palette, with an almost patent leather upper bearing a vinyl-like finish. A smooth leather is used across the black Swoosh, matching the midsole and chunky SB laces that we are used to seeing with the division’s Dunk Low releases. An icy outsole is cloaked in green, a colour which has often been seen on glow-in-the-dark Nike shoes from the past. A Nike SB logo is woven onto the tongue label, Buttercup’s name sitting underneath it in simple black lettering, a detail which goes hand in hand with the monographic Powerpuff print material subtly used across the tongue. Plush satin lining adds a soft touch to the on-foot experience, while the standard Zoom unit embedded into the insole adds further cushioning. Extra storytelling is spotted on the inner label, with a set of cartoon spices referencing the ingredient used to make Bubble’s character. The battle noise graphic insole adds another playful touch to this collaboration, an angry Mojo Dojo printed onto the right in his mid-fight pose.

The Buttercup Dunk Low comes packaged in the beige Nike SB box, along with special edition wrapping paper which depicts the faces of the three superheroes. Also included are a set of spare green laces, just in case you feel the need to channel that monochromatic look. These fit true to size and therefore you should grab your regular Nike UK sizing.
