The Powerpuff Girls x Nike SB Dunk Low Blossom

The leader of the Powerpuff Girls super trio, Blossom, inspires this new Dunk Low collaboration from Nike SB and Cartoon Network. Vibrant details and textures capture the essence of the smart, determined character in the The Powerpuff Girls x Nike SB Dunk Low “Blossom”. Reckon you can pull off bright pink? Then the Powerpuff Girls Dunk “Blossom” has your name all over it!

Just like the “Buttercup” and “Bubbles” iterations, an icy outsole is used to match the monotone shade of the upper which in this case is a light pink. A smooth orange leather is used across the Swoosh, complementing the laces and label accents that take inspiration from Blossom’s ginger hair. The matte black midsole creates a stark contrast which is another feature that runs consistent throughout the capsule, along with the stylised Nike SB branding which has been given the Powerpuff make-over. Embroidered onto the heel tab are a set of large cartoonish eyes, which on this Nike Dunk Blossom version is looking up and to the left, a small grin sewn onto the back left heel. On the reverse tongue label, you can spot another hit of storytelling with a bowl of ‘everything nice’ sitting underneath the typical Nike text which refers to the ingredient mixed into Chemical X to form the pink-clad superhero.

A set of graphic print sock liners add to the comic book theme of the collaboration, detailing numerous battle noises and the trio’s arch nemesis Mojo Jojo covering himself with his large cape on the right insole. The Pink Powerpuff Girls Dunk Dunk Low comes packaged in a beige SB Box, with a spare set of chunky black laces and special wrapping paper depicting the faces of all three superheroes. Fitting true to size, you should take your standard UK Nike sizing on this Dunk Low.
