In 1973, Puma signed Walt “Clyde” Frazier to a shoe deal. Fresh off an NBA championship and an All-Star season with the New York Knicks, Clyde was not only a big name in basketball, he was also a fashion icon. Puma gave Clyde his signature basketball shoe, the first time for any NBA player. The design was a combination of the Puma Basket and Puma Suede, with a narrower toe and a more durable sole. Decades passed and the Puma Clyde became an iconic lifestyle shoe, fitting for someone as fashionable as Clyde Frazier. In 2018, the brand signed Frazier to a lifetime deal following Puma’s return to making basketball footwear.

Celebrating 50 years of Puma Clyde history, the Super Clyde arrives in an eye-catching colourway. This rendition has a green suede base with yellow Puma Formstrip branding on the sides.
