Following the Big Red Boot making headlines in 2023, American art and media collective MSCHF is back at it again, stirring curiosity and raising eyebrows in the sneaker community in this collaboration with Reebok. Having recently dropped the attention-grabbing Big Red Boot, all eyes are on the brand’s latest collaboration. Marketed with the help of 1991 NBA Slam Dunk champion Dee Brown and his son Anakin, MSCHF reimagines the classic Reebok Pump Omni Zone II with nine additional pumps, naming the silhouette the Reebok Pump Omni Zone IX. This “White Blue Orange” rendition ensures the perfect fit thanks to its multiple internal inflating points.
Composed of two colourways, MSCHF gives this ‘90s basketball sneaker a modern-day update thanks to this innovation. This rendition has a clean white leather base with light blue accents encompassing the quarter panel and collar. Meanwhile, nine orange pumps inspired by a basketball appear on the tongue, rear, toe, forefoot, and ankle panel. The fully functional pumps keep your feet secure in every area, in case you need that extra plushness! BoingBoing technology branding adorns the heel panel, while a large MSCHF label sits on the outsole.
