If you’ve been paying attention to sneaker trends lately, you’ll know that retro runners are having a serious moment. Offering the perfect blend of nostalgic design cues and modern tech, Saucony are steaming ahead with this trend thanks to the return of the ProGrid Omni 9.
First released back in 2010, the Omni 9 looks just as good on foot now as it did over a decade ago. Reviving this silhouette in a number of new colourways, Saucony are proving once again why this silhouette deserves a place in your sneaker rotation.

Straight out of the box, the comfort offered from the ProGrid Omni 9 is a standout. Offering the level of tech you’d find in daily runners, Saucony’s signature GRID system provides cushioning and support whilst keeping the shoe itself very lightweight.
We opted for two bold, summer-ready colourways which paired perfectly with the retro-futuristic style of these sneakers. When we first saw teasers of the “Pink/Purple” colourway at Paris Fashion Week they instantly caught our eye. Offering a subtle nod to the Jae Tips x Saucony “To Do List” collaboration from last year, this playful colourway looks even better in hand.
When it comes to styling we found it best to keep things simple and to let the shoe take the lead. The “Blue/Lime” colourway brings Y2K energy and looks great when paired with shorts whilst the “Pink/Purple” we paired with a pair of dark trousers and a tonal pink tee.
If you’re looking to add a pair that combines comfort, style and serious heritage, the Saucony ProGrid Omni 9 needs to be on your radar.
