The Swoosh team are always up to something unexpected recently. After reviving iconic silhouettes such as the Nike Dunk and the Air Huarache, and dressing prominent models in retro colourways such as the Air Jordan 4 "University Blue", the sportswear giant have now set up a double-team with Jordan Brand to take on Michael Jordan's twelfth basketball sneaker. We've got a closer look at the Air Jordan 12 "Twist" and here's everything you need to know!
Sporting a colour arrangement of crisp white, stark black, and "University Red", this rendition puts a twist on the fan-favourite Air Jordan 12 OG "Cherry" that has been absent from the shelves since 2009. Also, thanks to these detailed imagery leaked by Instagram user Sneakertigger, we now have a close up of the pair's construction.
This AJ12 is predominantly crafted with a tumbled leather profile accompanied by reptile-reminiscent pebbled leather panels towards the front. Significant stitchings, influenced by the Japanese flag's "Rising Sun" motif, then spread across the uppers to maintain the OG Air Jordan XII layout we all know and cherish. In addition to the said red hue coating the metallic eyelets, collar lining, tongue, and most especially MJ's signature player number "23" at the heel, blacked-out accents mark traditional MJ branding details such as the Jumpman insignia and rear pull tabs. If you're a long-term basketball aficionado, you'd also notice that this ensemble directly nods to Chicago Bull's 1996-1997 team jersey.
Are you going to be adding the Air Jordan 12 "Twist White University Red" to your collection? Stay up to date with the latest Air Jordan 12 releases by keeping it locked in right here at The Sole Supplier as we'll be the first to let you know, and speaking of Jordan releases, the Air Jordan 1 Mid "Heat Reactive" has surfaced with UV-sensitive panels!
