A New Wales Bonner x adidas Collection Is Launching Soon

Last year saw the aptly-titled “Blokecore” trend really start to kick off, with sneakerheads now donning terrace-style adidas sneakers as opposed to streamlined runners or retro basketball kicks. One of the releases that kickstarted this phenomenon was the Wales Bonner x adidas Samba collection, launched in mid-2022. The English fashion designer (full name Grace Wales Bonner) is now set to team up with the 3-Stripes once again to launch a wider collection, featuring the Samba once again and two takes on the SL72. Coming in both a brown and a green colourway, the SL72 offers up a mesh upper, premium leather stripes and hand-stitched details, for an elevated take on the old-school pair.

The Samba instead offers up a metallic-silver look, with intricate lace making up the 3-Stripes here. The designer’s wordmark logo is embossed onto the lateral side, while an oversized tongue flap also makes an appearance.
