As part of the Air Jordan 1's 40th anniversary celebrations, Jordan Brand continues to honour the legacy of its iconic sneaker. Alongside restoring Michael Jordan’s first signature shoe to its original form, the brand has introduced fresh reinterpretations in various styles.
Just in time for spring, Nike’s sub label has revealed the Air Jordan 1 Low in a striking two tone “Red/White” colourway. While reminiscent of the high top’s legendary “Chicago” design, this release draws closer comparisons to the New Beginnings edition from 2020. That release, part of a two pair pack, revisited the original “Chicago” colour scheme across both the Nike Air Ship and Air Jordan 1, paying homage to their storied history.
The new Air Jordan 1 Low boasts a crisp white leather base complemented by bold red overlays and Swoosh branding for a dynamic contrast. Signature touches, like the Jumpman logo on the tongue and the Wings logo embroidered on the heel, stay true to the timeless aesthetic that established the Air Jordan 1 as a cultural phenomenon. The look is rounded out with a white midsole and a durable red rubber outsole, blending classic design with everyday practicality.
Previously, a similar lifestyle oriented Jordan 1 Low surfaced in a “Gym Red/White” colourway, echoing the New Beginnings capsule. A recently spotted variation offers subtle tweaks, featuring enhanced white accents on the tongue and Wings logo. Despite these updates, the design adheres to the framework set by Peter Moore’s original creation from the mid 1980s, maintaining its vintage charm.
The Air Jordan 1 Low “Red/White” is slated to release in Spring 2025 and will be available at select Jordan Brand retailers and on Nike.com. Keep following The Sole Supplier for all the latest updates.
