There's no denying that the sneaker scene is filled right now with numerous silhouettes that have just returned from the archives. The NB990v3 is one of many models from the New Balance that recently resurfaced, and the latest edition titled Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 990v3 "Outside Clothes" clearly shows why it should remain present in the Boston footwear label's roster.
First unveiled in May by Sneaker Freaker as the front cover of their 45th magazine issue, Chicago-based artist and New Balance collaborator Joe Freshgoods Robinson has taken it upon himself to reveal in-hand images of the co-branded New Balance 990v3 via Instagram.
As expected with any trainers from the New Balance 99x lineup, this pair offers a breathable mesh base wrapped in supple pigskin panels, together delivering a lightweight feel and premium look that is sure to elevate your collection. Traditional New Balance branding details remain for an OG feel, while Joe Freshgoods' name and initials featured on the heels and the TPU heel clip adds a high-profile branding touch that dedicated New Balance shoe collectors seek. As far as colour arrangement goes, earthy brown and cream hues take over the overlays, while other elements appear in different shades of blue and green. Completing the much-loved setup is a dual-engineered ABZORB and ENCAP sole unit which delivers heightened comfort, durability, and traction.
