If you’ve not already got your eye on a pair of ASICS this year, then this could be the release that’ll convince you. Having gained significant traction over the past 12 months, the Japanese brand is on track to challenge some of the sneaker scene’s biggest players thanks to its clever collab strategy and a solid line-up of general release styles. Now, it’s revealed its latest pack, which contains two GEL-SONOMA 15-50s that are well-equipped to take on the Gorpcore trend.
Dubbed the “Future Trail” pack, the collection encompasses two colourways: a “Cream” and a “Coffee” variation. Drawing inspiration from sand dunes, the rugged-looking pairs come decked out in hairy suede and tie-dye mesh uppers which add to the overall techy vibe. From here, ASICS continues to dial up the gorpy details with hiking boot-inspired rope laces and heavily-treaded outsoles. It’s not just a case of style over substance though: the pair comes equipped with a TRUSSTIC support system for added stability, and GEL tech for improved shock absorption.
The ASICS GEL-SONOMA 15-50 “Future Trail” pack is set to drop soon over at ASICS, so be sure to hit the release reminder links if you're thinking of picking up a pair. In the meantime, Saucony is launching its "Trailian" pack.
