If you were to ask a Mancunian what puts Manny on the map, they might tell you it’s the music scene or (one of) the football teams, but if you were to ask the streetwear crew, they’d quite rightly say Clints. Born out of the 0161, Junior Clint’s label has gone from strength to strength over the past couple of years, with a Patta collab having helped to pave the way for worldwide stardom. Now, spurred on by the self-taught designer’s dissatisfaction with the current sneaker market, the label is set to drop its newest silhouette, the Clints TRL 2.0, and trust us when we say it’s a banger.
Building upon the original TRL, the TRL 2.0 the chunky, trek-inspired sneaker arrives in a mixed material construction of layered mesh and neoprene that adds structure and support to the upper. A chunky sole sits underfoot, with the outer treads boasting cleverly placed Clints branding to match the branding hits at the toe and side panels. The pictured colourway sees a monochromatic make-up of black, grey, white and silver for easy styling, though reflective 3M detailing allows the wearer to continue flexing throughout the winter evenings ahead.
There’s no word on a release date just yet, but be sure to follow Clints on the ‘gram for more info, and stay locked to The Sole Supplier for all the latest sneaker releases and news.
Up next, Oakley and Brain Dead revive a cult classic.
