With the release of the Yeezy 500 'Bone White' just around the corner, images have now surfaced of an alleged high top version aptly dubbed the Yeezy 500 High! Leaks courtesy of sneaker insiders @kickwhoshow and @theyeezymafia, this shoe is unlike anything we've seen before, and here's everything that we know so far!
Bearing a striking resemblance to a sample colourway that we spotted back in 2017, the 'Slate' boasts a two tone palette with stealthy black tones at the upper and clean white hues down on the midsole.
Featuring the same design as the original Desert Rat, it arrives in a bulbous fashion that's crafted from some of the most premium materials known to man, including buttery smooth suede and ultra luxe leather. With that being said, it looks like this variant switches out the mesh materials in favour of neoprene, providing a fit that's more suitable for the wet and windy months ahead.
Tumbled leather extends towards the heel for added support and structure, and down below, an adiPRENE midsole makes its presence known, carved with a unique grid pattern across for added grip, and infused with anti-marking technology so you won't scuff the floor.
Next to nothing is known about the Yeezy 500 High 'Slate', but according to reports these could become a reality soon rather than later. Would you cop a pair? Are these a good alternative to the Yeezy Boost 750? Let us know what you're thinking, and be sure to keep it locked at The Sole Supplier for the hottest news the sneaker world has to offer!
