Valentine's Day usually brings to mind sneakers in bright red hues. But next year, Nike is set to go a direction with the launch of the Dunk Low “Black Roses”. This version puts a monochrome spin on its Bold Scarlet predecessor, featuring bold embossed floral designs that really pop, especially on the heel counter.
Three roses surround the Swoosh, creating a cool jagged effect that disrupts the leather stripe, making the flowers stand out even more. The dripping floral design fits perfectly with the gothic vibe of this version, offering a darker romantic twist. There's also a similar floral pattern at the toe where a mini swoosh may normally be found and in select spots on the inside of each shoe.
Aside from the floral touches, the sneaker sticks to the classic Dunk silhouette. It mixes leather and nubuck in a Black and Grey colour scheme, while a deeper Steel shade highlights the tongue tag and midsole.
Even though it seems designed for those with a darker aesthetic, the Dunk Low “Black Roses” could be a great fit for a Valentine’s Day drop in 2025. Details of a release date are still up in the air with a rumoured release date set in place for early 2025.
