Over the years, we've seen retro colourways gracing fan-favourite footwear models of today, predominantly the Nike Dunk and a select few from Jordan Brand. Alongside legendary outfits such as the "Banned" and "UNC" is the "Shattered Backboard". Renowned for its mix of black, orange, and white that first appeared on the Air Jordan 1 in the summer of 1985, the three-tone palette will be embracing Michael Jordan's fifth signature basketball sneakers for the first time today. Here's your official look at the Air Jordan 5 "Shattered Backboard"
At a glance, die-hard Jordan fans would instantly notice that the quarter segments and collars overhead come layered with mesh textiles—deviating slightly away from the original setup.
The premium leather foundation then sees a "Sail" tint, spreading over the toe area all the way to the heel region. The outstanding hues then make their way across other sectors, with orange marking the Jumpman logo on the tongue and parts of the Air midsole, and black coating the topmost eyestays, interior lining, additional Jumpman heel embroidery, and parts of the sole tooling—both midsole and outsole. The highly anticipated ensemble is finalised with the AJ5's traditional lace toggles and speckled shark teeth design towards the lateral toes pulling inspiration from World War II fighter jets.
The Nike Air Jordan 5 "Orange Blaze" undeniably holds grail status for long-term sneaker collectors, so make sure you keep it locked in right here at The Sole Supplier if you do not want to miss out on the latest Nike releases. In similar news, Nigel Sylvester has officially signed to Jordan Brand.
