First previewed on the runway last summer, Louis Vuitton x Off-White x Nike is the collab the world has been waiting for. Following the untimely death of Virgil Abloh late last year, it’s been unclear if these special-edition Air Force would ever see a wider release, but with more and more in-hand images surfacing, we’re free to speculate that it could be going ahead after all. The latest pairs to hit the spotlight are the “Blue” and “Orange” colourways. Previewed by friend and partner of the fashion house, Lucien Clarke, these images allow us a closer look at the shoes, once again reminding us of Abloh’s unique approach to luxury fashion.
Like previously seen pairs from the collection, both colourways see the base of the shoe embossed in Louis Vuitton’s signature monogram, which also can be spotted on the white Nike Swooshes that sweep across the lateral and medial walls. Behind the Swoosh, Off-White for Nike’s signature stamp appears in the brand’s go-to Helvetica font - this time changed to say "Louis Vuitton for Nike," and a tiny tag is stitched onto the Swooshes. Of course, the Off-White references wouldn’t be complete without Abloh’s iconic speech marks. “LACETS” wording appears at the laces, and the “AIR” stamp appears on the Air Force’s crisp white midsole. The pairs are finished with LV logos which can be spotted on the heel tab and the insole.
Of course, there’s still no official word on when (or even if) the Louis Vuitton x Off-White x Nike Air Force 1s will drop, but for now, enjoy these close-up images and be sure to keep it locked for any more updates as they come in, as we'll be the first to let you know!
Up next, Nike team up with COMME des GARÇONS on two new AM97s.
