JJJJound and New Balance are back at it, ready to upgrade your winter sneaker game with their latest collab: the GORE TEX equipped New Balance 2002R. After an initial release through JJJJound’s own channels, the pair is set to launch on newbalance.com on 7th January.
As with many JJJJound collaborations, the design leans on understated refinement, often resembling premium takes on general releases. It’s a stealthy upgrade of general releases, rocking an all black colourway with sleek leather overlays. However, details, like pull laces and subtle pops of “Vintage Indigo” on the heel and cushioning capsules, lend a unique touch to the minimalist design.
For those seeking alternatives, JJJJound previously released a batch of GORE-TEX 2002Rs in suede back in February 2024, which are currently reselling close to their original MSRP. Additionally, New Balance has been steadily rolling out general release GORE-TEX 2002Rs in recent months, many of which remain available at select retailers.
The JJJJound x New Balance 2002R GORE-TEX in “Black/Vintage Indigo” is officially dropping on 7th January. Click 'Notify me' and we'll let you know when these drop.
