We knew New Balance was about to have a big 2023, but if you’d had told us that its humble 574 model would be leading the charge this year we might not have believed you. That being said, we’re always here for a surprise sneaker resurgence at The Sole Supplier, so we’re not mad at the news at all.
Spurred on by collabs with Stone Island and Miu Miu, Google searches for the New Balance 574 surged a huge 31% during February, and over 2500 release reminders set were set for the Stone Island drop. Though both collabs will set you back a pretty penny now (the Stone Island is sitting at around £300 at release, and the Miu Miu retails at a cool £700+) you don’t have to break the bank to get the look.
The New Balance 574 is currently available for £100 or under on the brand’s website - or if you wanted to push the boat out a little bit, they go up to £110 for the legacy version. The choice of shoe for off-duty models and fashion fans everywhere, the 574 is probably the most “New Balance” shoe ever. It’s comfy and uncomplicated, built from premium materials and available in a myriad of colours, so if you’re looking for a shoe that can do it all, yet remains super-stylish, the 574 should be your new go-to.
