Last weekend, Nike re-released the critically acclaimed Air Jordan 11 'Concord', and apparently, it was the largest sneaker release in history.
Resembling the original pair from 1995, this retro rework features the original patent leather cut and “45” on the heels. Coloured in a clean white and black colour scheme, an icy outsole sits down below for that OG aesthetic that we all know and love.
According to YouTuber and sneaker enthusiast Jacques Slade, the the “Air Jordan 11 'Concord' 2018 release was the single largest sneaker drop in industry history.” This record was previously set by the Air Jordan 11 'Space Jam' back in 2016.
While these claims have yet to be confirmed by the Swoosh, the Air Jordan 11 'Concord' is considered a grail by mean sneakerheads for several reasons, with it being the first sneaker Michael Jordan wore upon his first return from retirement, so we wouldn't be surprised if they were true! In related news, a Travis Scott x Air Jordan 6 is in the works.
