While Jordan Brand is plotting a big 2025, Nike’s not sitting on the sidelines. After bringing back Deion Sanders' Air DT Max '96, they’re doubling down on Prime Time’s sneaker legacy. The MVP of their lineup? The epic return of the Air Diamond Turf “Falcons.”
This ATL inspired classic is soaring back onto the scene, and trust us, it’s ready to make a touchdown.
Interestingly, Nike's retro rollout of Deion Sanders' signature line hasn’t followed a chronological order. After the re release of his third model, Nike now turns to his very first signature shoe, the Air Diamond Turf. Set to drop in a striking red and black “Falcons” colourway, this version is one of the most enduring looks for the model.
Previously released in 2010 and 2017 under a “49ers” theme, Nike has shifted focus back to the Falcons franchise this time around. A subtle detail distinguishes this iteration; golden embroidery on the heel replaces the traditional red accents, a nod to Sanders’ time in Atlanta.
The reintroduction of Sanders' signature line has been heavily tied to the man himself. In a November vlog shot in his Colorado office, Coach Prime unveiled a lineup of upcoming colourways under his banner. The “Falcons” colourway quickly became a fan favourite, generating significant buzz. Just weeks later, during the SNKRS Spring Showcase, Nike officially revealed the shoe alongside another upcoming release, the Air Diamond Turf “Draft Day.”
The Nike Air Diamond Turf “Falcons” drops on 12th February 2025, just a few days after Super Bowl LIX, with a price tag of £130.
