If you lost your way during the Platty Joobs celebrations and are wondering what sneaker news you missed out on over the weekend, then never fear. We're bringing you all the need-to-know updates from over the long weekend.
One of our favourite unveilings from last week has to be the reveal of the latest JJJJound x Reebok NPC II on JJJJound's Instagram feed. Bringing the '80s model bang up to date with a comfortable terry cloth interior and a full-grain leather upper that screams luxury, this Reebok is definitely going to be a must-cop for the minimalist lover in your life.
As well as this, there was a mass unveiling of Dunks that are bound to appeal to masses of sneakerheads. Firstly, the Nike Dunk Low "Reverse UNC" is a big hitter with its ever-popular colour scheme. North Carolina-themed sneakers are always going to be a sell-out, so you'll need to set your reminder if you're to get your paws on these.
In a more neutral fashion, the Nike Dunk Low SE 85 "Double Swoosh" comes with a luxurious suede upper and tumbled leather Swooshes. "Rust" shadows the lighter and brighter check below, whilst a Grind outsole reminds us of Nike's efforts to a more sustainable future. On the top of the tongue, '85' nods to the model's first year.
If a high-top is what gets you going, then check out the Nike Dunk High "Stadium Green". Like the suede edition above, this green Dunk pays homage to 1985: the year the Dunk hit the court. A fleece lining adds something a little different to this model, and a double Swoosh dons the sidewalls again.
We have to admit that when we first saw the Dunk Low Disrupt 2 silhouette, we weren't sure how sneakerheads were going to take it. But of course the Swoosh Brand know what it's doing! The new-style Dunk has taken over as the hottest sneaker to have thanks to IG and TikTok, but the more neutral iterations have been more popular thus far. That being said, the Nike Dunk Low Disrupt 2 "Sunrise" could definitely take over as the next colourful sneaker to cop for summer.
With the Air Jordan 3 "Dark Mocha" being as popular as it is, Nike has decided to take it one step further and decorate their classic AF-1 Low silhouette with a design that takes "Neapolitan" to the next level. The Nike Air Force 1 Low “Neapolitan” comes dressed with a mix of strawberry, vanilla and chocolate tones. Constructed from nubuck, suede and tumbled leather, this AF1 is as sweet as they come.
If you're looking for something a bit more fresh, then the Nike Air Force 1 Mid "Certified Fresh" is the sneaker for you. We've seen a few bits from this pack emerge recently, including a Dunk High, Dunk Low and AF1 Low, but this AF1 Mid changes the game completely and really takes the "Certified Fresh" meaning to the next level.
Finishing up, we have some images released of an upcoming Air Jordan 1 Low in "Olive Canvas". This colour always does well, no matter the silhouette, so we can't wait to see the official images soon! The fact that they're made from canvas sets them apart from the Nike Dunk Low "Olive" that's releasing soon too, meaning we can buy both!
