Plenty of legendary sneaker designers drew inspiration from the world around them when creating iconic kicks, and now there’s a new kid-on the block in the form of the adidas Orketro, a brand-new silhouette inspired by brutalist architecture. Popular throughout the 1950s, this style of architecture was popular all around the world, however most notable in the United Kingdom and across the former Soviet Union. The sneakers themselves offer up a no-nonsense approach and are decked out in a subtle black and navy-blue colourway.
Three stripe branding is placed near the toe box and trefoil logos as well as range-specific branding can be found on the tongues. A grey lining completes the look while these sit on top of a suitably padded black midsole unit. If you’re keen to cop this brand-new silhouette then you’ll be pleased to hear that they’re scheduled for a global release on the 1st of June.
