Sneakerheads are no stranger to the setups of Michael Jordan's signature basketball sneakers. Since its debut in 1985, the AJ1 has received multiple revamps, like the Zoom CMFT, FlyEase, Switch, plus more. As for the latest offering, it appears that Nike and Jordan Brand are bringing back a variation that first debuted in 2002 for its 20th anniversary: the Air Jordan Nu Retro 1 Low.
The Air Jordan Nu Retro 1 Low will be returning with a tri-toned setup; red, white, and black coating the premium leather panels from heel to toe. While it still does possess some of the classic features of the Air Jordan 1s, it features a layout somewhat different from the OG.
Across the sides, large leather slabs in white come debossed with MJ's Wings insignia—usually on the heel overlays. In addition, the familiar Jumpman logo has been withdrawn from the tongues and embossed towards the rear area of the Air midsole unit underneath. Having said all that, perforations across the toeboxes remain in place to deliver ample breathability and lightweight experience.
