Back in March, New Balance fans were pleased to hear the news that renowned Japanese fashion designer Ryota Iwai will be taking on the Boston footwear label's New Balance 550 model for a makeover. And now, we've finally got an official release date on the highly coveted AURALEE x New Balance 550, so read on if you're looking to add these to your collection!
There's no questioning that the New Balance 550 model has become a hot commodity in the sneaker community over the past few months, all thanks to the line-up of collaborations and versatile colourways like the forthcoming New Balance 550 "White Black" and Teddy Santis' much-loved Aimé Leon Dore collection.
As for this co-branded variant with AURALEE, the New Balance 550 forgoes its bold, retro-inspired colour blocking in favour of a vintage aesthetic that sports a predominantly off-white tone, complemented with beige and cream hues which deliver an aged look to the basketball-slash-lifestyle kicks. Traditional New Balance branding details then round off the ensemble and complete the upcoming AURALEE's Fall/Winter 2021 offering.
The AURALEE x New Balance 550 is set to release in Japan on the 16th of July then followed by a global launch on the 26th. These no doubt hold grail status for die-hard New Balance collectors, so make sure you keep it locked in right here at The Sole Supplier if you don't want to miss out on the latest New Balance releases. In related news, these New Balance 991s are some of the most luxurious sneakers you'll ever own!
