The MoMA x Vans Collection Pays Homage to Legendary Artists
The MoMA x Vans collaborative capsule is the latest team effort from everyone's favourite Californian footwear label and it certainly doesn’t disappoint. Honouring legendary artworks from the Museum of Modern Art’s collection, the pack features works from Salvador Dali, Jackson Pollock and Claude Monet to name just a few.
Different silhouettes from the Vans archive are dressed to resemble the artworks, guaranteed to turn a few heads on the street. Alongside the footwear offerings a full apparel collection is also set to drop, so read on to find out more!
First up, the Vans Old Skool Twist showcases a full graphic print taken from Salvador Dali’s 1931 artwork “The Persistence of Memory”. Vasily Kandinsky’s “Orange” from 1923 also adorns the Classic Slip On, while Monet’s iconic “Water Lillies” is printed across the Vans Authentic for a seriously tasteful offering!
Alongside the three pieces that showcase artwork, several MoMA-branded models will also launch, while the rest of the silhouettes feature dual-branding across the insoles for a special-edition touch. Whether you’re a self-confessed art critic or not, there’s no denying that these are yet another solid effort from Vans!
If you’re looking to cop anything from the MoMA x Vans collection, the good news is that the entire capsule will go on sale from September 30th, so make sure you’re ready to grab the pair you’re after!
