Collaborations often stand out in the sneaker world, but what about general releases that feel like collabs? New Balance has been leaning into its “Neon Nights” theme on models like the 9060 and 1906R, and now the re emerging New Balance 740 gets the same bold treatment. With its vibrant colour palette and nuanced design, this release easily channels the energy of an Action Bronson collaboration.
Much like Bronson’s standout projects with New Balance, the “Neon Nights” 740 is unapologetically colourful. Its base features a rich “Concord Grape” mesh, complemented by lighter “Purple Fuchsia” on the forefoot overlay and sock lining. Pops of “Sun Glow” yellow adorn the tongue tag, New Balance logos, and the front portion of the outsole, while a striking orange midsole demands attention. To round out the design, light blue accents weave through black and silver detailing at the quarter and heel.
If this shoe were part of an Action Bronson collaboration, it would probably sell out in no time. However, since it’s not, full unisex sizing is still available on newbalance.com for £115. Are they worth adding to your collection?
