Despite being almost 40 years old, the Swoosh team's Air Force 1 silhouette still looks as good today as it did back when Bruce Kilgore introduced them in 1982. While some Nike model has been in and out of the scene, the AF1 is inarguably one of the few pair that will stay relevant for many years to come, all thanks to its appealing construction that allows itself to be a blank canvas for endless possible designs such as the recently-unveiled colourway dubbed the Nike Air Force 1 Low "Legendary".
A closer look at the clean images provided by reputable sneaker insider @yankeekicks shows this forthcoming Air Force 1s flaunting a dual-toned makeover – predominantly black but accented with shimmering shades of gold across various components.
From heel to toe, the AF-1s withdraw its leather-core build in favour of mesh-like netting stretched across the quarters and toe boxes as well as buttery smooth nubuck overlays crafting the toe caps and rear panels. Contrasting gold accents then burst through the said mesh layers which then makes their way across prominent parts: thickly embroidered Swoosh outline logos, "FLY" spell outs across the tongues and heel tabs, star-shaped topmost eyelets, and "AIR" text accent situated on the midsole.
