The Nike Air Max 1 'Schematic' is arguably one of the most hyped AM1s in recent memory. Paying homage to Tinker Hatfield's original blueprint from 1987, we got a first look at the shoe just a few days ago. Now, images have surfaced of a fully blacked out version, and it's an absolute banger!
Photos courtesy of @solebyjc and @spicychickenwings, the never-before-seen 'Schematic' is literally an inverted version of the original colourway. Featuring a murdered out mesh and suede upper, white design footnotes have been pencilled in throughout, including "ADD U-THROAT", "LATERAL VIEW", and "MEDIAL VIEW". It's worth noting that the text here features a handwritten look rather than the "typed"; style seen on the white pair.
Along the sockliner, you'll find "SAMPLE. PROPERTY OF NIKE. NOT FOR RESALE."; Whether or not this will remain in the release pair remains to be seen, but it's a pretty cool nod to the shoe's conceptual stage. Completing the look is the American sneaker designer's signature, that graces the heel of the shoe.
According to rumours, this Nike Air Max 1 'Schematic' will drop in September alongside the white pair. A legendary shoe with a legendary backstory, you don't want to miss out on this pair, so be sure to keep it locked at The Sole Supplier for more release info as it develops! While you're here, be sure to take a look at the full Nike sneaker range!
