At this point, nothing surprises sneakerheads anymore when it comes to colourways. Over the last year, Nike has outfitted some of their silhouettes in the craziest colour blockings, though mainly on prominent models like the classic Air Force 1 and the legendary Dunks. This time around, the Boston-based sportswear label's 2000 sock-like shoe, the Air Presto, will be making a return in the form of the Nike Air Presto "What The" colourway. Official images of the retro running shoe's latest iteration are live now, so read on for a closer look!
The Air Presto might not be as popular now, but it still has had a special place in the hearts of many long-term shoe collectors since its debut. It was Nike's best running shoe at the time, acknowledged as a "t-shirt for your feet" because of the nylon base's comfortable stretchy and cosy fit.
It has emerged in many setups over time, but this new "What The" offering is definitely one of a kind as it pays homage to the model's original colourways. Throughout the fabric base and standard Presto components like the TPU cages and heel counters, the prints appear in their original form: "Shady Milkman", "Lightning", "Brutal Honey", "Unholy Cumulus", and far more. But with that said, we have no doubts that modern-day sneaker enthusiasts would easily say these were inspired by the recent Nike SB Dunk Low "What The P-Rod" when that's not entirely the case as most old-school Swoosh fans would agree.
