We've recently been blessed with a plethora of low-top Nike Dunks these past couple of weeks – nothing out of the norm since summer is finally here. However, that doesn't necessarily mean that Dunk Highs are being paused. One of the latest rendition to join the Swoosh's roster is the Nike Dunk High "Official Basketball" and its set up to remind new-gen sneakerheads of its true sports heritage.
The Nike Dunk model is more acknowledged as a lifestyle trainer these days, but all thanks to these images provided by reputable sneaker insider @teddyssole, it's rather clear that it truly does belong on the hardwood floor no matter what colourway it appears in.
This high-cut Dunk is set up with a corduroy construction with deep navy filling in the collars, quarter panels, toe boxes, and profile Swoosh logos which opts for a rich green coating instead. The heel segments, collar flaps, lacing system, and toe caps, are then crafted with blanched out premium leather overlays to deliver a pop of colour. The throwback theme is achieved with vintage flairs in the form of retro-inspired Nike embroidered patches on the tongue tags and lateral heel where a circular emblem showcases "OFFICIAL NIKE Basketball MERCHANDISE" spellout that mimics motifs from athletic jerseys, basketball letterman jackets and snapback caps from the '80s.
At this time of writing, an official release date for the Nike Dunk High "Official Basketball" has not been given, though we'll be the first to let you know of all the latest Nike release updates here at The Sole Supplier if you keep it locked in! In related news, here's a closer look at the Supreme x Nike SB Dunk High "By Any Means"!
