The Off-White x Nike "The 20" Collection is Coming Soon
Back in 2017, Virgil Abloh and Nike changed the sneaker game forever with the release of the legendary Off-White x Nike "THE 10" Collection. Completely deconstructing ten iconic Swoosh silhouettes from the ground up, it was unlike anything we had seen before. With normal collabs, brands would generally just allow designers to make a few very small design tweaks here and there and slap their name on, but here, everything from the Air Jordan 1 to the Air VaporMax was completely transformed, blurring the line between sneakers and art. Now, after almost four years, it looks like the power duo could be reuniting for a sequel aptly dubbed the Off-White x Nike "The 20" Collection, and here's absolutely everything that we know so far.
While initial leaks came by the way of reputable insider @py_rates, a little bit of digging lead us to one of Off-White's many microsites named Public Domain. Designed to mimic Abloh's own desktop, there are a bunch of folders that link you a ton of archival photos and footage, including prototypes from "THE 10" sneakers that didn't quite make it and some skydiving videos. With that said, the most interesting part of this site is the row of shoes on the bottom of the page.
Displaying all of Virgil's Nike shoes to date, there are a few at the end of the row that are pixelated and overlaid with "ACTUALLY PENDING" in his signature Helvetic Bold font. While it's hard to make out exactly what some of the shoes are, it's clear that the Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 "University Gold" and Off-White x Air Jordan 1 "Canary Yellow" are part of the mix. If you squint your eyes, the first pair even looks like an alternate AF1 that resembles the "Off-White x Futura x Nike Dunk Low "Orange""-exclusive release complete with a blacked out midsole.
Two high top pairs also make their presences known in navy and black colour options. If you didn't notice already, the final two are the Off-White x Futura x Nike Dunk Low "Orange" and the Off-White x Futura x Nike Dunk Low "UNC" which were first previewed during Off-White's Spring/Summer 2020 showcase at Paris Fashion Week.
Of course, there are a whole slew of Off-White x Nike sneakers that aren't included in this list that we know are definitely dropping soon. For example, the Off-White x Nike Air Zoom Tempo NEXT% "Black", the Off-White x Nike Dunk Low "White", and of course, the Off-White x Air Jordan 4 "Bred".
Let us know what you think of the Off-White x Nike "THE 20" Collection so far, and be sure to keep it locked at The Sole Supplier for more news as it develops! Which silhouette are you most excited for? We're personally hyped for the Off-White x Air Jordan 1 "Canary Yellow" as it's one that we've been eyeing up since it first leaked over two years ago. While you're here, you might as well get up close with the Off-White x Nike Dunk Low "Black White" and "Black Grey"!
