LA-based streetwear imprint PLEASURES have become highly respected in the fashion industry for their bold and controversial graphic printed apparel. Ever since founder Alex James introduced his label in 2015, he's already worked with prominent footwear labels such as Converse, Reebok, Crocs, creating a significant level of hype on the way. For his brand's latest offering, PLEASURES reunited with their first-ever collaborator once again, this time revamping their classic basketball shoes. We've got a detailed look at the PLEASURES x adidas Superstar "Black" and it's the ultimate stealthy-looking creps we've seen in a while.
Despite being a co-branded pair, this adidas Superstar still holds onto its signature features, notably the rubber shell toes towards the front for extra durability, the low-cut collar, and most especially the sidewall logos.
And speaking of logos, the said Three Stripes trademark across its lateral and medial profiles are done up with translucent textiles, giving it more of a cutting-edge look. Bold red accents then mark the heels and sides in the form of PLEASURES spell outs, discarding the standard Superstar and Trefoil branding. The ones on the tongue were also withdrawn. Finally, a smooth leather construction dipped in a stealthy black colourway and a set of contrasting white laces accommodates all the aforementioned designs and also cements the coveted collab.
If you're part of the adidas shoe collectors club, then we have no doubts that you've already got the PLEASURES x adidas Originals Superstar "Black" marked on your must-cop radar. In related news, the Allbirds x adidas FUTURECRAFT.FOOTPRINT has finally been unveiled.
