Off the back of giving us a range of stunning colourways last year, the Sporty & Rich x adidas Handball Spezial collaboration is returning with a brand-new trio of releases. With the huge demand we've seen for the Spezials, we just know this one will be flying off the shelf.
Founded by Emily Oberg in 2015, Sporty & Rich began as an online mood board; a carefully curated collection of images that, as the brand describes, “represent a life surrounded by beauty.” Over the years, it evolved into a full fledged lifestyle label, loved by style icons like Elsa Hosk and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.
Now, as Sporty & Rich celebrates its 10th anniversary (happy birthday!), it’s marking the milestone with this exciting collaboration. The Handball Spezial comes in three striking colourways: ‘Dark Green,’ ‘Night Indigo,’ and ‘Sharp Red.’ Each features premium nubuck uppers, complemented by suede overlays on the heel, with ‘Footwear White’ leather accents on the sidewalls and back. The shoe’s retro charm is further enhanced by its signature wedge shaped gum sole.
Adding a touch of luxury, “Sporty & Rich” is embroidered in a sleek script on the tongue, while its logo is stamped in gold on the lateral side. To top it off, the sneakers come packaged in a custom designed shoebox created exclusively for the launch.
The Handball Spezial may not have reached the cult status of adidas classics like the Samba or the Gazelle, but that's part of its appeal. It’s the perfect choice for those seeking something vintage inspired yet refined.
The Sporty & Rich x adidas Handball Spezial will drop in the coming weeks via Sporty & Rich, adidas, the Confirmed app, and select global retailers. Priced at around £90, these sneakers deliver premium style at an accessible price.
