adidas Island Series Java

Following the return of the Bali trainer, adidas Originals travels towards its next destination in the archival Island Series. Launched in the late ‘70s as part of the “Special Leisure” collection, the cult classic adidas Island Series Java marks its comeback with a 1-to-1 remake of the original, a pair highly coveted among avid 3-Stripes collectors.

This retro sneaker flaunts a navy blue suede upper with bright red leather 3-Stripes and back tabs for contrast. A classic Trefoil logo adorns the heel, complementing the enlarged adidas Java bluebird print on the tongue. Cream white tones envelop the lining and midsole for a vintage look as if the pair came straight from ‘77. The red rubber premoulded duotone outsoles provide a low-to-the-ground feel, with a traction pattern that can also found on the adidas Gym.
