Let’s take a closer look at the adidas NMD R1 Vivid Red. It’s one of several designs launching in August for this much loved range. While many adopt a sleek colourway, this pair opts for a bold aesthetic. Taking on BRED design elements, it manages to remain understatated thanks to the black detailing thoughout.
Although an all-new model will be launching shortly and going by the name XR1, this pair stays true to the original. The shoe is crafted from flexible and tight-knitted mesh from heel to toe. It boasts that lightweight comfort but remains durable. A hidden integrated lacing system adds even more support, while synthetic overlays to the rear keep you protected. This also acts as the branding and three stripes dominate on the sidewall.
Technology underfoot is just as impressive. A contrasting white Ultra Boost sole brings responsive cushioning and that weightless feel. A black EVA midsole plug features to the rear while red compliments at the front. Finally, a stickly black outsole offers grippy traction courtesy of tyre manufacturer, Continental.
