Moncler x adidas NMD S1 The Art of Exploration Blue

A selection of interesting footwear was on display at the colossal Moncler World event in February, one of which was this Moncler x adidas NMD S1. While images and information on the pair are fairly obscure, it gives us a clear indication as to what the duo are capable of cooking up. The 3-Stripes are sticking to its new NMD S1 update, with upcoming collaborative editions giving us a promising insight to the future of the silhouette.

The semi-translucent finish on the NMD S1 midsole is one we’ve seen on the original “White Purple” release from 2022, although this time bearing the original NMD’s signature red and blue accents. The upper, like the accompanying Moncler apparel collection, is based on a quilted material to resemble that of a puffer coat. The small tab also indicates the presence of a possible third party, which in this case looks to be the inclusion of GORE-TEX, although that is yet to be confirmed. A looped lacing system is paired with a toggle at the top to ensure a custom fit, while a booty-like foot opening plays into the puffer coat aesthetic. The heel is equally feature-heavy, with what appears to be a zip pocket for any small and storable goods, as a set of white 3-Stripes contrast the vibrant shade of blue.
