Introducing the White Mountaineering x adidas NMD R2 Black – the next release to feature for this hyped collaboration. This actually arrives as part 2 of the Spring Summer 2017 range, arriving alongside more signature clothing and footwear.
It’s the contemporary look of this WM x adidas NMD which sets it apart from other releases. Imparting their classic details against a newly debuted range, this Japanese label have created something special.
A one-piece crafted upper delivers that minimalist style and low profile comfort. Black mesh contours to the foot for a second skin like fit. As you’d expect from a White Mountaineering release, there is an emphasis on added functionality for outdoor use.
That includes synthetic welded overlays at the heel as well as the lace surround. It not only makes the shoe tougher but protects from water damage. The lightweight construct is further complimented by a full BOOST sole underfoot. This provides unrivalled comfort, matched with durability thanks to those chunky EVA midsole plugs.
Unlike the conventional adidas NMD R1, the R2 remains streamlined on the outer sidewall of the midsole but comes equipped with plugs on the inner side. To complete the look, White Mountaineering taping covers the forefoot and distinguishes this as an exclusive, as does the white synthetic overlay at the heel.
