Long-time collaborators The Simpsons franchise and adidas celebrate Halloween with a striking colourway inspired by one of the most popular Halloween special episodes from the hit animated sitcom. The Simpsons x adidas Rivalry 86 Low “Treehouse of Horror” is a tribute to Hugo Simpson, Bart’s non-canonical evil conjoined twin from The Treehouse of Horror VII, first aired in 1996.

Through the years, adidas and The Simpsons continue to strengthen their partnership with several sneaker collaborations highlighting various characters and memorable episodes from the beloved cartoon series. Having recently dropped the adidas Stan Smith “Homer Simpson”, which went viral on social media because of its meme-inspired nature, the two powerhouse franchises run it back with a Halloween-themed colourway of the classic adidas Rivalry 86 Low. The shoe has a predominantly distressed red canvas base with white leather 3-Stripes on the lateral panel. In addition, the medial quarter section has a yellow leather backdrop featuring an embroidered scar representing Bart and Hugo’s scars on their torsos after being separated by Dr. Hibbert. Blue accents highlight the heel tab, tongue, and lining to pull off the character’s signature colours. Brown rope laces deliver additional details inspired by the famous episode. The clean white rubber sole completes this unique Halloween-themed adidas Rivalry colourway. This shoe comes in a special-edition packaging box showcasing Bart and Hugo, with numerous fish heads that served as the latter’s primary nourishment.
